Terms and Conditions
By placing an order either over the phone, messenger, fax, e-mail or website, customer has verbal or written agreement, and is bound to Galway House Cleaning Terms and Conditions.
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions outline the policies regarding damage or loss occurring during house cleaning services provided by Galway House Cleaning. By availing our services, you agree to the terms stated below.
2. Limitation of Liability
While we take the utmost care in handling your property, Galway House Cleaning shall not be held liable for incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to minor scratches, stains, or normal wear and tear that may occur during the cleaning process.
3. Notification of Damage or Loss
Customers must report any damage or loss in writing within 24 hours of the cleaning service. Claims made beyond this period may not be honored.
4. Exclusions
The following situations are not covered under our liability:
- Pre-existing damage or wear and tear.
- Damage to items of high value, fragile items, or antiques unless prior written notice has been provided.
- Damage due to improper installation or poor condition of fixtures, furniture, or appliances.
- Loss of cash, jewelry, or other valuables unless securely stored before cleaning.
5. Compensation and Reimbursement Policy
All claims for compensation or reimbursement related to house cleaning services must be submitted within 48 hours from the date of service. Claims submitted after this period will not be considered.
To file a claim, the claimant must provide a detailed description, supporting documents (e.g., receipts, invoices, photographic evidence).
This policy ensures timely resolution and proper record-keeping. Exceptions will be made only under extraordinary circumstances at the discretion of management.
If a claim is validated, Galway House Cleaning reserves the right to repair the damaged item, replace it, or offer fair compensation based on depreciation. Any reimbursement shall not exceed the original cost of the item or a maximum liability cap of 500.
6. Third-Party Insurance Claims
Galway House Cleaning has a Public and Employer’s liability insurance. The policy will cover any accidental damages caused by an operator working on behalf of Galway House Cleaners, reported within 24 hours of service date. There is e350 excess on any claim, of which e150 are paid by customer and e200 by Galway House Cleaning.
Galway House Cleaning reserves the right to refuse to share any of the confidential company’s documents.
7. Indemnification
Customers agree to indemnify and hold harmless Galway House Cleaning and its employees from any legal claims or disputes arising from alleged damages or losses unless proven to be due to gross negligence.
8. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction]. Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration or a competent court within the said jurisdiction.
9. Amendments
Galway House Cleaning reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Customers will be notified of any significant changes prior to their next scheduled cleaning service.
10. After Cancellation of the Cleaning Service
By entering into a service agreement with Galway House Cleaning, the customer agrees that after the termination of the cleaning service he/she will not hire or use any domestic services provided by a present or past cleaner introduced to the customer by Galway House Cleaning. If the customer wishes to hire or use domestic services provided by such a cleaner then he/she must pay a referral fee of e400. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the relevant Irish law, and by agreeing to be bound by them the customer agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts of the Ireland. Galway House Cleaning reserves the right to make any changes to any part of these terms and conditions without giving any prior notice.
